How are you positioning your organization?

We are officially seven weeks (or so) into this new normal, and while the imminent anxieties have lessened, organizations are still trying to figure out what they will do to come out of this.

If you’re reading this and trying to figure out what you can do TODAY to help better position your organization as we begin rebounding, here are four suggestions!

  1. Make a plan. I always feel more in control if I have a plan in place with actionable items. Identify where you’re at, what you need to do to ensure stability, and develop actionable things you can do to keep your business moving.
  2. Be creative with your products and services. Can you take what your current product and/or service offering is and tweak it to meet the demands of your community? Begin brainstorming what that would look like!
  3. Work on a marketing strategy. If you find yourself working remotely with a lot of free time on your hands, why not work on your marketing message? This too shall pass and when it does, marketing is going to be paramount.
  4. Refine your skills. With so many online courses at our fingertips, perhaps you can trade in worry for learning. Spend time refining your skills or learning something new that will set you apart from your competitors.

Are there other things you’re doing to position your organization so that when this passes you’re ready to thrive? I would love to hear what your ideas are!
